The Farnung Lab answers key mechanistic questions at the intersection of chromatin and transcription. We employ biochemical, biophysical, machine learning, and structural biology approaches to understand how the transcription machinery, histone modifying enzymes, chromatin remodelers, and the nucleosome interact to control gene expression.
